Chai-Turmeric-Maca Protein Bars
Another recipe utilizing the yummy functional flavors from the company Nuzest!! This time I made a recipe that requires no baking, and just a little refrigeration time. Making these ridiculously easy, and quick to make! Now, these aren’t the most beautiful looking bars (thanks to the sunflowerseed spread, and turmeric and maca in the protein....) BUT they are honestly SO delicious! I love having these as a pre workout, or mid morning snack! The honey gives the perfect hint of sweetness, and the sunflower seed spread makes them melt in your mouth! YUM!
Chai-Turmeric-Maca Protein Bars
Makes: 9–12 bars
Prep time: 10 mins
Refrigeration time: Atleast 1 hour
Total time: 1 hour 10 mins
Ingredients:
1/2 cup oat flour
1/2 cup sunflower seed spread
1/3 cup Nuzest Chai-Turmeric-Maca Protein powder (use my code Healthyhappy for 15% off your order)
1/2 cup honey
1-2 tbsp liquid of choice (milk, nut milk, water) to add a little moisture to mixture if too dry.
Instructions:
Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment (or use an aluminum baking dish without parchment like I did). Combine all ingredients in one bowl (adding liquid 1 tbsp at a time as needed to make dough less dry) Using hands to fully incorporate the ingredients. Take the mixture and press into baking dish until it is to your desired thickness. You can use a smaller dish if you prefer thicker bars. Place in the refrigerator for up to 1 hour to allow bars to harden. Store in the fridge until ready to eat for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 1 month!
