Asian-American Fusion Chicken Burgers

Asian-American Fusion Chicken Burgers

Makes: 6 burgers

  • Prep time: 15 minutes 

  • Cook time: 15 minutes 

  • Total time: 30 minutes 

ingredients: 

  • 1 1/4 pounds ground chicken
  • 2 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 medium clove minced garlic 
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 tsp pepper  
  • 1 head butter lettuce OR buns 
  • Toppings of choice (fresh tomato, raw onion, avocado, grilled peppers or onion, ketchup, mayo, additional drizzle of teriyaki sauce) 

Instructions: 

  1. In a large bowl, mix chicken, ginger, garlic, cilantro, and 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce until well combined. Lightly coat hands with cooking spray and form into 6 patties. Coat skillet or grill with oil and heat to medium-high heat. Cook patties about 5 minutes per side, or until internal temp is 165 degrees Farenheit. Remove butter lettuce leaves, and clean. Use one or two as your "bun", add whatever toppings you please and ENJOY!
